OUR HISTORY
B.R. Schroeder & Sons, Inc. was founded in 1976 by Billie R. Schroeder. (1934-1998) The Company began business as a Plumbing Contractor but soon added Heating and Air Conditioning.

During the Company’s first twenty years, B.R. Schroeder & Sons, Inc. grew with the building industry in North Central Indiana. Many of the new homes built during these years, in the Kokomo, Lafayette, Marion, Muncie and Tipton areas, had their Plumbing and HVAC systems installed by B.R. Schroeder & Sons, Inc.
The Company has always been a family business. In 1996, Tim Schroeder, Steve Schroeder (sons) and Scott Fague (son-in-law) purchased all outstanding shares of B.R. Schroeder & Sons, Inc. to become the second generation to own and operate the business. The third generation is actively involved and contributing today.

Since 1998 the Company has chosen to do business as “BRS Mechanical”, in recognition of our founder, Billie R. Schroeder, who was known to almost everyone as “B R”, and to more precisely describe our full mechanical services.

BRS Mechanical primarily works for single, multi-family and light commercial Building Contractors in North Central Indiana. We also provide Plumbing and HVAC Service and Replacement in this same large geographic area.

BRS Mechanical holds a significant market share in the area we serve. Beyond some local “Yellow Page” ads and Community Sponsorships we have done very little advertising. Our market share has been earned by word of mouth, customer referrals and relationship building with area Building Contractors and our other customers.

Our Management is dedicated, knowledgeable and hard working.

Our Skilled Workforce is comprised of equally dedicated, hard working and well trained trades people.
